Sudbury Academy ID Program-March 31

girls academy

We are excited to announce a new initiative that will enhance our Academy Squad selection process for this fall’s teams.  Historically, we have run two open nights of tryouts along with knowledge of players through our Skills Academy to determine player placement of new players. This has been successful, however the more we can catch the players in action, the more accurate the data will be.

We are going to host our second of three Academy I.D. Centers on Sunday March 31st at Cutting Field.  We will group players by the grade that they will be trying out for. If you cannot make the event, it is okay. The whole point of this is to accurately place players through an ongoing process and not a snap tryout. We will host one more event prior to May's Academy Squad tryouts. The event will be several games for all grade levels. We want players to relax and feel comfortable so their creative play can be on display therefore we ask parents to drop their kids off.

Sunday, March 31st at Cutting Field (Sign up for free through Adminsports -Academy I.D. Center)

4th/5th Grade Boys: 10:00am to 11:30am       4th/5th Grade Girls: 11:30am to 1:00pm

    6th/7th Grade Boys: 1:00pm to 2:30pm           6th/7th Grade Girls: 2:30pm to 4:00pm

Spring Season Referee Meeting-March 31

refThe spring soccer season is drawing near and we are seeking referee’s. If your child is 13 years or older by April 1st 2019, they are eligible to referee.

This is a great opportunity for those who have some soccer knowledge to develop leadership skills, earn money and have fun.

Becoming a referee is easy and no prior refereeing experience is required. To become a referee, your child must attend a Sudbury Soccer In-Town referee training session and a pre-season meeting prior to the start of the season.

The training and pre-season meeting will be held on Sunday, March 31st in the Pines Room at the Senior Center located at 40 Fairbanks Road. The training session for new referees runs from 11:00-12:30 and the pre-season meeting for ALL referees is from 12:30-1:00.
